Tunisian public television has reached an agreement with Libya Sports Channel to broadcast the matches between Esperance Tunis and Al-Suwaihli in the second round of the CAF Champions League qualifying for the group stage for the 2026-2027 season, allowing fans of both teams to follow the matches on two open channels.
According to Tunisian television, Qanah FC will produce and broadcast the first leg match, scheduled for Sunday, October 18, at the Misrata Stadium, and the match will also be aired on the Tunisian National Channel One.
In contrast, the Tunisian national channel will take care of producing the return match, which will take place on Saturday, October 24, at the Olympic Stadium in Rades, and it will also be broadcast on Libya Sports Channel, as part of the agreement between the two parties.
It is expected that the broadcast of the two matches will be accompanied by an analytical studio on each channel, while both channels will air their programs via the Nilesat satellite, giving fans the chance to follow the home and away matches without the need for a paid subscription.
The first leg match is set to kick off at 7 PM local time in Libya and Tunisia, and 8 PM in Mecca time.
Esperance Tunis are preparing to travel to Misrata on a special flight on Saturday, before facing a match in which they aim to achieve a positive result away from home, boosting their chances ahead of the return leg in Rades.
Libya's Al-Suwaihly is looking to continue its continental journey and reach the group stage for the first time in its history during its debut in the CAF Champions League, while Esperance Tunis, a four-time champion, aims to maintain its presence in the group stage for the twelfth consecutive season, having achieved this feat since the 2016-2017 edition.
