Nabil Bentaleb, the midfielder for the Algeria national team, will miss the training camp in Sidi Moussa that started today, as they prepare for upcoming challenges during the current international break.

The Algerian Football Federation has announced that Nabil Bentaleb suffered an injury during his team's match against Nice on Sunday, in the French league, which prevented him from joining the national team camp.

The 'Greens' are preparing for their first two matches in the Africa Cup of Nations Qualification 2027, where the Algerian national team will face Zambia on September 25, before meeting Burundi on the 29th of the same month. They will conclude their camp with a friendly match against Niger on October 6.

After confirming Nabil Bentaleb's absence, national coach Ibrahim Hamdani has called up Adil Bourbâa, a midfielder from Le Mans, to replace him in the senior national team.

This call-up represents an important opportunity for Burundi, who was recently summoned to the Algeria U23 national team in preparation for two friendly matches against South Africa, to make his debut with the senior national team and prove his abilities.

The 21-year-old player has made a strong start with Le Mans in Ligue 2, establishing himself as a key player during the first five rounds and participating in 398 minutes.

Burundi's player has not only been a regular presence but has also succeeded in scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists, bringing his total contributions to 5 in the first 5 rounds, confirming his attacking effectiveness since the start of the new season.
