Newcastle United has claimed the English League Cup title after defeating Liverpool (2-1) at Wembley Stadium.

This title marks Newcastle's first-ever victory in the English League Cup throughout its history.

Newcastle has ended a 70-year drought without winning any titles, with their last trophy coming in 1955 when they won the FA Cup.

Additionally, this title is the first for English coach Eddie Howe in his managerial career.
