The Japanese club Yokohama made an emergency coaching change just days before the anticipated match against Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr in the quarter-finals of the 2024-25 AFC Champions League.

Yokohama announced the dismissal of its English coach Steve Holland following a 3-2 defeat against Shimizu S-Pulse on Wednesday, which dropped the team to 19th place in the Japanese league.

Yokohama has appointed Australian Patrick Kisnorbo, Holland's assistant, as the interim coach for the upcoming period.

Yokohama will travel to Saudi Arabia to face Al-Nassr, led by coach Stefano Pioli, in the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League on Saturday, April 26.
