Moroccan striker Yasser Zabiri, of Racing Santander, has won the award for Best Player Under 23 in LaLiga for the month of September, having made a strong impression during the second month of competition in the 2026-2027 season.
Zabiri continues his attacking brilliance in September, adding 3 goals to his tally, raising his total in LaLiga to 6 goals this season, and confirming his presence as one of the standout players at the start of the competition.
The Moroccan striker's standout performance came during the 5th round, when he led Racing Santander to overturn a deficit against Deportivo Alavés to win 2-1, scoring both of his team's goals in the match.
Zabiri found the net again in the next round despite Racing Santander's loss to Barcelona, the LaLiga leaders, by a score of 7-2.
This is the first award that Zabiri has won as the best player under 23 in LaLiga, after he triumphed in the final voting over Pau Cubarsí of Barcelona, Alberto Moleiro of Villarreal, Miguel Sierra of Sevilla, and Yoel Lago of Celta.
